Legal traineeship in the area of information and data protection law

 

We are a law firm specialising in information and data protection law, compliance, governance, and cybersecurity with offices in the heart of Basel. Our clients include multinational companies from various industries based in Switzerland and abroad, as well as SMEs and start-ups. 

 

As of August 2024, we offer the opportunity to complete a 9 to 12 month traineeship (80-100 %) in our law firm. The tasks include legal clarifications and advice with a focus on information and data protection law, primarily under Swiss and EU law, drafting and editing texts, guidelines, expert opinions, contracts, presentations, and other documents, assisting with projects, data protection audits and the implementation of data protection programmes, and preparing training courses. You will also have the opportunity to assist in accomplishing the tasks of a DPO.

 

As we work in a predominantly international environment, the language of communication with our clients is mainly English and German, sometimes also French and Italian. 

 

In addition to a good university degree (Master of Law), we require excellent written and spoken German and English skills, a quick grasp, networked and analytical thinking, an independent way of working and an interest in the topics of data protection, information law, compliance, cybersecurity, digitalisation, new technologies and contract law.
